Elementals Exhibition

In 2021 I exhibited my latest work at the Stationhouse Gallery in Williams Lake, BC. Entitled Elementals, This exhibit was an exploration of the five elemental components through woven tapestry, felt and textile/fibre sculpture.

In classical thought, the four elements earth, water, air, and fire frequently occur; Aristotle added a fifth element, Aether that has the power to animate, to make things come alive. This fifth element describes that which was beyond the material world and is viewed not as substance but as sensory experience.

I was pretty proud to pull this show off!  I submitted the proposal in 2018, then postponed due to travel plans and timing conflicts (I am, after all, The Wandering Weaver). Rescheduled for 2020, then COVID. No explanation needed there. September 2021, Elementals was the first exhibition at the Stationhouse Gallery, with a public opening, in two years.
